PS Vita sales worldwide are starting to grow slowly according to VGChartz. In week ending June 9th 2012, the PS Vita sold just over 50,000 units world wide – not a lot compared to the 3DS’ 135,000+ units – but a growth compared to the previous week’s 45,000 units. Week on week, the PS Vita’s sales increased by 10%, and exceeded the PSP’s sales, which is still going strong.
The new figures put the PS Vita just shy of 2.2 million units sold worldwide since launch, though official figures haven’t been released to confirm this. Of the 50,000 units, over 17,000 units were sold in Europe (8% decrease) while over 13,000 were in North America (4% decrease). Japan sales bought the figure up selling over 13,000 units – an increase of almost 80% compared to the previous week.
