The PlayStation Mobile Software Development Kit (or SDK) has been updated to version vo.99, adding many new features and changes in the software. One notable addition is a “In-App Purchase” library, allowing developers to add micro-transactions to their applications like on Android and iOS apps.
The following new features have been added:
- In-App Purchase library
- Digital Signature & Encryption library for content protection
- GamePad support for UI Toolkit library
- ModelViewer for previewing .mdx files on PC
- More than 50 bug fixes
PS Mobile is a great way to get Homebrew apps on your PS Vita. For example, the [download id=”199″] app has been used to play PC games on the Vita.
This update is likely to be the last update before the SDK and PlayStation Mobile comes out of the “Open Beta” phase.
