The PS Vita’s sales continue to disappoint across the globe, despite Christmas being just around the corner. In Japan last week, the console sold just 4,021 units, compared to around 6,000 units the week before. Both figures are quite bad, especially when compared to the Nintendo 3DS. Sony really need to get the Vita going, and even more so at such a critical time for sales.
The 3DS sold 186,000 in the same period – a massive difference compared to the PS Vita. The PS3 sold around 18,000 units and even the PSP sold 12,000 units in the same period. Hopefully new PS Vita releases next week will give the PS Vita a much needed boost, even though none of the PS Vita’s titles were in the Top 20 Software sales chart.
