If you signed up for the closed beta for Killzone: Mercenary, check your inboxes as invite codes are being sent out with instructions on how to get access. If you weren’t one of the lucky ones to get an invite, don’t worry. Guerrilla Games has confirmed that a Open public beta will start in late August, giving everyone a chance to play the multiplayer component of the game.
The Public Limited Beta phase is used to collect feedback from you, but is limited in size to make sure the servers are gradually tested in preparation for Open Betas and the full launch. Open Betas are a good way for the development team to really test the servers to make sure they are ready for launch. And of course, you get to have a taste of the multiplayer mode before it the game is released!
Killzone: Mercenary hits the shelves on September 4th, 2013 for Europe Mainland, September 5th, 2013 for Spain and Portugal and September 6th for UK, Ireland and Australia.
