In an interview with MCV, Sony revealed that PS Vita sales in the UK have increased 100% over the summer, partly attributed to the Vita Mega Packs, where 10 Vita games are sold for £35. The increase in sales could help turn around the PS Vita’s bad sales record is the trend continues. The interview also reveals that the console will have over 900 titles by the end of 2013.
“Vita had a good summer, the Mega Pack is one of the things that has boosted performance by more than 100 per cent. It’s now in growth year-on-year. And you’ve seen several pieces of news at Gamescom which will only help. So that means we can feel optimistic,” said Sony’s UK boss Fergal Gara.
The PS Vita price cut and the new cheaper PS Vita model could help increase sales further, especially when considering it’s future alongside the PS4 and it’s Remote Play functionality.
