FIFA is the only soccer title available on the PS Vita currently, and since EA have a monopoly on this genre for the PS Vita, it seems they can get away with anything they like. Apparently, FIFA 14 on the Vita will be exactly the same game as FIFA 13 – no new features or functionality, only updated squads and kits to match the current season.

Gamescom 2013: Tearaway Trailer
Sony’s Gamescom press conference focused on new games coming to the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita, and with so many announcements to make, previously announced games didn’t get much stage time. However, it doesn’t mean Sony has forgotten about these titles – in fact, a new trailer for Tearaway has been released.
Gamescom 2013: PS Vita Price Cut Announced, Borderlands 2 Goes Portable
At Sony’s Gamescom press conference, the PS Vita officially got a price cut in Europe and North America. The portable console’s RRP has been dropped to $199 / €199. In addition to the price cut, several new titles were also announced for the PS Vita, including Borderlands 2 and Football Manager 2014.
The Walking Dead PS Vita Trailer Released, Available in North America Today
Telltale Games have released a launch trailer for their PlayStation Vita port of the their The Walking Dead game, which is releasing in North America today, and presumably in Europe tomorrow. The PS Vita version of the game includes new touch controls and includes all of the Season One episodes and the 400 Days DLC pack.
Killzone Mercenary Beta Coming to PlayStation Plus This Week
Sony has revealed that the Killzone Mercenary multiplayer beta will be releasing to PlayStation Plus subscribers this week, with European gamers getting access to the beta from August 21st 2013. The beta will be exclusive to Plus subscribers for one week, before it opens up to the public on August 28th.
PS Vita Re-Design Rumors Re-Surface Ahead of Gamescom
With Sony’s Gamescom press conference over a day away, rumours about a redesign to the PS Vita has resurfaced. According to Magic Box, the Japanese newspaper Tokyo Keizai is reporting that there could be a Vita redesign in the works, with the launch date expected to be in September – around the time of the Tokyo Games Show.
PS Vita Getting Pet Simulator in 2014
The PS Vita is getting it’s own Pet simulator called the original PlayStation Vita Pets, but will actually focus on dogs. The game is being developed by UK-based Spiral House, who’s assisted on many key PS3 titles, including MotorStorm and LittleBigPlanet, and developed EyePet and EyePet Adventures for PSP.
PS Vita Puzzler Open Me Available from Today
New PS Vita puzzler Open Me launches in North America later today and in Europe tomorrow. The augmented reality game was first revealed back in September 2012, and was developed by PlayStation C.A.M.P., the same team behind Tokyo Jungle. A free trial of the game will also be available if you want to try before you buy.
Top PSN Sellers for July 2013 in North America
SCEA has released the PlayStation Store charts for July 2013, revealing the top selling PS Vita, PSP, and PS Mobile titles and DLC content. On the PS Vita, Mortal Kombat PS Vita was the top selling title, followed by LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes. On PS Mobile, new release Tokyo Jungle Mobile was the top selling title.
PAL PlayStation Store Chart for July 2013
Sony has released the Top 10 PSN chart for July 2013 in Europe, showing the most downloaded titles on the PS Vita. Hotline Miami keeps its No. 1 spot for the second month running, followed by new entries Total Recoil and Machinarium on the chart in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. New entry Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark also debuts on the chart in 6th position.
