Following on from our European release of Malicious on PS3, Alvion have confirmed that the PS Vita will be getting a remastered digital version of Malicious Rebirth. The PS Vita version of the game will include loads of new content, including new levels, bosses and moves. In fact, the game will include almost twice as much content as its predecessor, hence the title Malicious Rebirth.

Skype for PS Vita Updated to Version v1.60
The Skype application on the PS Vita has been updated to version v1.60, adding a key feature to the app. The 11 MB update enabled the software to accept calls whilst you’re in the middle of a game, allowing you to talk with friends while playing any game. You can also talk with friends while moving between apps or using the Vita’s system software.
Fieldrunners 2 Coming to PS Vita
Tower defence game, Fieldrunners 2, is coming to the PS Vita this summer, Subatomic Studios have announced. The sequel to the original Fieldrunners on the PSP runs on a new game engine, which allows each and every enemy to carve their own unique path through the battlefield.
Toro’s Friend Network and Paint Park Plus Out Today in North America
Two new PS Vita applications are releasing on the PlayStation Store in North America later today: Toro’s Friend Network and Paint Park Plus. Toro’s Friend Network is a social gaming application connecting you and your gaming buddies in a new unique way. The application is free to download, and offers you the ability to connect with your existing friends on Twitter and Facebook, as well as giving you the opportunity to meet new friends on PSN.
LIMBO Release Date for PS Vita Confirmed
LIMBO’s release date for the PS Vita has been confirmed by Double Eleven and Playdead, and will be heading to the PlayStation Store next week. In North America, the game will be releasing on June 5th 2013, followed by Europe on June 6th 2013. The game will be offered as a digital download in PlayStation Store, priced at €12.99/£9.99 / $14.99.
Rayman Legends Coming to PS Vita
Ubisoft has confirmed that a PS Vita version of Wii U title, Rayman Legends, is coming to the PS Vita this August. “Rayman Legends on Vita includes all of the original Rayman Legends content,” says the press release, “as well as five exclusive maps playable with Murphy, the green bottle fly seen in previous Rayman games, controlled through the Rear TouchPad.”
Sony’s E3 Live Stream will be Compatible with the PS Vita
Sony has confirmed that their E3 Press Conference will be streamed in a format compatible with the PS Vita. The news was confirmed on the European PlayStation.Blog, with Fred Dutton confirming that “you will be able to watch the show somewhere, somehow on your Vita.”
Epic Mickey 2 Coming to PS Vita This June with Enhanced Features
SCEA has revealed that PS Vita owners will be able to check out Disney Interactive’s Epic Mickey 2 on PS Vita next month, on June 18th 2013. The PS3 game has been ported to the PS Vita, but adding a number of new features that are only made possible with PS Vita’s unique touch capabilities. The Vita version implements new ways to control the game and adds ad hoc network functionality.
Tearaway Gameplay Trailer Released
Media Molecule have released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming PS Vita title Tearaway. The new trailer showcases how players can use the PS Vita’s controls to play the game, including the console’s rear touch pad. The game will be releasing in October, but you can pre-order it now and grab yourself some bonuses at the same time.
New Killzone Mercenary Images Released
Nine new images of upcoming FPS title Killzone Mercenary have been released for the PS Vita. The game, scheduled for release in September, has a lot to live up to seeing as the Vita hasn’t seen a decent first-person shooter yet. The PS Vita’s other FPS titles, Resistance and below-par Black Ops Declassified were average, but these screenshots show that Killzone Mercenary is shaping up to be the FPS title Vita owners have longed for.
