Canada will finally be getting the 3G model of the PS Vita this October, Sony has announced. Sony has created a launch bundle for the new model which will come with the 3G PS Vita, Gravity Rush and Unit 13, and a pay-as-you-go data package from Rogers for $299.

PS Vita owners in Europe will be getting yet another free app to their portable consoles this month, as Ecolibrium hits the PlayStation Store later today. Ecolibrium is an imaginative real-time eco-system simulator where the aim is to maintain harmony within your own created environment.
Monster Hunter Pulled From PSN Store After Exploit Discovered
Sony has pulled Capcom’s Monster Hunter Freedom Unite from the PlayStation Store after a exploit was found in the PSP title, allowing it to run unsigned code. Sony has been quick to respond to exploits on the PS Vita in order to prevent the new console from becoming rife with piracy and exploits like the PSP.
Sunflowers Coming to PS Vita in Europe This Week
The Game Atelier has revealed that Sunflowers will be releasing this week on the PS Vita and iOS. The promotional banner on the website and a Facebook update reveal that the game will be available on the PlayStation Store this Wednesday in Europe, though pricing details have not been revealed yet.
Sound Shapes Updated to Version v1.01
A new patch for Sound Shapes on the PS Vita is now available to download. The patch updates the game to version v1.01 and weights in at just over 2MB. The patch fixes a number of bugs in the game (detailed below). The patch can be downloaded from the Live Area screen for the game.
Free-to-Play RPG Picotto Knights May Be Heading West
Free-to-play RPG, Picotto Knights, on the PS Vita will be releasing in Japan later this month. The game combines sidescroll fighting with RPG mechanics, and local and online co-op modes, and is being developed by NHN Hangame and Game Arts. Although the publisher hasn’t mentioned a Western release, a trademark filed by GungHo Entertainment suggests otherwise.
Treyarch and Infinity Ward “Not Involved” with Black Ops: Declassified
In a recent interview with CVG, it’s been revealed that neither Infinity Ward or Treyarch have had much input in developing their first FPS PS Vita title, Black Ops: Declassified. Despite the two companies developing one of the biggest gaming franchises, Sony’s Nihilistic Software have been developing the title.
Persona 4: Golden English Screenshots Released
Atlus USA have released a batch of English screenshots for Persona 4: Golden on the PlayStation Vita, slated for release this Autumn. Pre-ordering the game from selected retailers bags you a exclusive PS Vita skin for your console. Check out the screenshots below.
PS Vita Exploit Cannot Be Used to Pirate Games
The recently discovered PS Vita exploit by Yifan Lu is limited in the possibilities it opens up to homebrew developers. Lu says he is working on a homebrew loader, but the exploit cannot be used to pirate games as the exploit only gives “user” access to the system.
Tokyo Jungle Will Include PS Vita Remote Play
PSN title Toyko Jungle will arrive in Europe on September 26th for the PlayStation 3 for just £9.99. An official press release indicates that the title will support Remote Play, allowing PS Vita and PSP owners to play the title on the go. The game, which is already available in Japan, has received a patch to enable Remote Play.
