Launching this fall, Smart As is a social brain-training experience that will put your brain to the test with 20 unique, engaging, tactile and highly interactive puzzle games. This next-gen puzzle game will also enable you to share your stats with players from around the world using a robust set of social and connective features.
According to Chart-Track data, the PS Vita in the UK is tracking at just under a third of what the PSP achieved after the first ten weeks. The PS Vita has sold just 100,000 units according to the website, although the numbers have not been confirmed by Sony.
The US PlayStation Store has been updated with a range of new PSP and Minis titles compatible with the PlayStation Vita. These games should keep you busy while we wait for titles such as Resistance: Burning Skies, Sound Shapes and Gravity Rush to hit the PS Vita. Despite the game’s official release date being May 29th 2012 in North America and May 30th 2012 in Europe, we’ve spotted a PS Vita owner playing Resistance: Burning Skies, using the Near application. The user, roughly half a mile away from where I work in Camden Town, was spotted playing the game on May 4th 2012 – almost a whole month before the game’s official release date.
If you are fed up of getting signed out of the PSN every time you play Uncharted: Golden Abyss? Lucky for you, Bend have fixed the issue and have released a patch today so you can remain signed-in to the PSN going forward. The decision to use “offline” mode was to apparently save battery power.
Three new DLC packs have been announced for augmented reality game Reality Fighters. The Weapons Pack will be free to download, while the other two packs, Football Fight Pack and Ghostbusters Pack (both detailed below), will be paid DLC content available for $2.99 from the PlayStation Store.
Sony has revealed worldwide sales figures for the PlayStation Vita up to end of March 2012. Sony claims it has shifted 1.8 million units in the US, Europe, and Asia. At last count, Sony had sold 1.2 million units in February 2012, which means around 600,000 units were sold in March alone.
