This week on Inside PS Vita, learn about Cross Play – the ability to play games on your PlayStation Vita against players on the PS3 or PS Vita. Cross Play is available on selected games, including WipEout 2048, MotorStorm RC and Hustle Kings. The PS Vita also supports Remote Play, which lets you play select PS3 games on your portable console, whether you are on the go or elsewhere in the house.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus Confirmed for PlayStation Vita Launch
If you’re a fan of ninja games, PS Vita won’t leave you wanting – or waiting. The system’s upcoming launch will be supported by two ninja-centric titles: Shinobido 2 and Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus. NGS+ is an updated version of an early PS3 title, which itself was an enhanced version of an original Xbox game that debuted back in 2004.

PlayStation Vita Firmware v1.60 Coming This Week
Another major firmware update for the PlayStation Vita is coming on February 8th in Japan. Firmware version 1.60 will add two major features to the portable console, including a new Map app and the ability to record videos with the existing Photo App, as well as adding Mac OS support.
PSN Accounts Being Renamed to Sony Entertainment Network Accounts
Over the weekend, PSN members were sent an email from Sony regarding the renaming of PlayStation Network (PSN) Accounts. From February 8th 2012, your PSN Account will be known as Sony Entertainment Network Account or SEN Account for short.
Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention for PlayStation Vita Coming In April
Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention is the first RPG for the PlayStation Vita, and will be coming to the portable console in this April. However, the game is a port of the PlayStation 3 version, but it will be equipped with new character stories, new systems, new attack levels, new bosses, and will include all the DLC that was released for the PS3 version, all on one card.
Rumour Alert: PlayStation Vita 3D Data Plan Prices Leaked in UK
Last week, Sony and AT&T revealed the pricing for using 3G on your PlayStation Vita, but no pricing plans have yet been revealed by Vodafone – the preferred 3G carrier for the PS Vita in Europe. There are rumours going around of a Dutch PlayStation Community Manager saying a 3G Vita will come with €20 of credit on the SIM and a simple top-up of the same amount will be enough to get you a download of WipEout 2048.

With only a few weeks to go until the PlayStation Vita launches in Europe, retailers are starting to lure customers with pre-order offers. Sony and AT&T Reveal PlayStation Vita 3G Data Plans
Sony and AT&T have revealed the price plans that will be available to US owners of the 3G-enabled Vita. Originally, a 2GB data plan was announced for $25 per month, but this has now been replaced with a new 3GB data plan for $30 per month. A cheaper plan for $15 per month offers only 250MB of data.
