In an interview at the Eurogamer Expo in London, Sony UK’s Fergal Gara has revealed that a UK launch date for the PS Vita TV is in discussion. In an interview with CVG, Gara said that UK consumers should “watch this space”, adding “let’s get it out in Japan, see how successful it is, and take it from there”.

Worms Revolution Extreme Release Date Announced
A release date for Worms Revolution Extreme on the PS Vita has been announced for both North America and Europe, and will be available to download from the PlayStation Store in October. The game will be available in North America from October 8th, for just $14.99, while Europe will be able to download the game the following day for £11.99/€14.99.
Gravity Rush 2 Confirmed by Sony
Sony has confirmed that a sequel to Gravity Rush (or Gravity Daze as it’s known in Japan) is coming to the PS Vita, but the teaser trailer doesn’t actually refer to the game as Gravity Rush 2. The teaser trailer doesn’t reveal much about the game, except that it’s being developed by Team Gravity, presumabely an internal devision at SCE Japan Studio.
TGS 2013: New Trailer for Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Released
A new trailer for Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD on the PS3 and PS Vita has been released from the Tokyo Game Show, showing more footage of the upcoming game. In addition to releasing the trailer, Square-Enix has also confirmed that the game will be officially launching this winter.
PS Vita Sales in the UK Have Increased 100% Over Summer
In an interview with MCV, Sony revealed that PS Vita sales in the UK have increased 100% over the summer, partly attributed to the Vita Mega Packs, where 10 Vita games are sold for £35. The increase in sales could help turn around the PS Vita’s bad sales record is the trend continues. The interview also reveals that the console will have over 900 titles by the end of 2013.
PS Vita TV Won’t Be Launching in Europe or North America Alongside Japan
Sony’s newly announced PS Vita TV device won’t be launching in North America or Europe at the same time as it’s Japanese release, which is currently scheduled for release on November 14th 2013. Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony’s Worldwide Studios, has taken to twitter to confirm that the device will first release in Japan, before heading to the West at a later stage.
PS Vita OLED vs. LCD Comparison
Two photos have emerged comparing the original PS Vita model with the OLED screen to the recently announced PCH-2000 model with LCD screen, and showing just how much the screens differ. The upcoming PS Vita model with LCD screen will be cheaper than the original model, but it comes at a cost – the original OLED screen is superior, offering a better colour palette with vibrant and richer colours.
Top PSN Sellers for August 2013 in North America
SCEA has released it’s own PlayStation Network Charts for August 2013, revealing the top selling games in North America. On the PS Vita, newly released Dragon’s Crown was the top selling title, followed by a re-entry Rayman Origins in second. On PlayStation Mobile, Chaos Rings was the top selling titles.
PAL PlayStation Store Chart for August 2013
Sony has released the PlayStation Store charts for August for PAL regions, revealing LittleBigPlanet has re-entered the chart and made it to number one on the PS Vita, while July’s top title, Hotline Miami, has dropped to fourth. Fruit Ninja also re-entered the chart and took the second spot on the chart.
Sony Announces PS Vita TV
Sony have revealed a new console at it’s pre-TGS press conference this morning, allowing gamers to play PS Vita and PSP titles on a TV, using a DualShock 3 or 4 controller. The device, which is just 6.5cm × 10.5cm × 1.4cm includes a HDMI port to connect to a TV, and also lets you play PS4 games in another room, without the need for a second console.
