Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault or Ratchet & Clank: Q-Force as it is known in Europe, will be coming to the PS Vita in January 2013, while the PS3 version will be available this week. The title will be cross-play and cross-save compatible when released, and will be available to download for free if the PS3 version has been purchased.
PS Vita Game Releases for December 2012
Despite Christmas edging closer and closer, December is set to be a quiet month for Vita gamers when it comes to new game releases. Only three new titles are expected between Europe and North America, making it a quiet month. Luckily, November has been a big month with a number of AAA releases, so that should be enough to fill the stockings at least.
PS Vita Firmware v2.00 Contains Minor Bug with Cloud Saving
Recently released firmware v2.00 for the PS Vita contains a minor bug, it has been revealed. Sony announced that the automatic cloud backup feature for save data, available to PlayStation Plus subscribers, is not working correctly, meaning data isn’t actually saved to the cloud. As a result, the company is preparing Firmware version v2.01 to address the issue.
Frobisher Says! Trophy List
Party game Frobisher Says! has 10 trophies to unlock in the basic game, but the two additional DLC packs also include 4 additional trophies each. So far, the game has a total of 18 trophies to unlock, consisting of one gold, six silver and the rest bronze trophies.
PS Vita Sales Triple In Japan After New PS Vita Colours Released
After weeks of poor sales in Japan, the PS Vita has seen a three-fold increase in sales over the last week, likely due to the release of two new PS Vita models. The Blue and Red PS Vita models were released in Japan last week, which has boosted the Vita’s sales figures from 4,000 units to just over 12,000 between November 12th to the 18th.
EU PlayStation Store Update for November 21st 2012
PlayStation Plus is now on the PS Vita, which means Vita game have been added to the Instant Game Collection, and available to download for free if you are a subscriber. You can also find a number of new games to purchase and download, including Chronovolt and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified Is Second Biggest Vita Title in the UK
Despite receiving poor reviews (32 / 100 on metacritic), Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified has been selling well in the UK, entering the sales chart at number 16. Just behind launch title Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Black Ops Declassified is now the second biggest PS Vita title in the UK. Looks like Sony’s marketing paid off.
US PlayStation Store Update for November 20th 2012
PlayStation Plus was added to the PS Vita this week in Firmware v2.00, so this week’s North American PlayStation Store update includes the first of six games in the Instant Game Collection. You can also find new PS Vita titles, new demos, and plenty of new DLC to enjoy.
t@g Launches to the Public Today
Following the limited release of t@g earlier this week, the app official releases to the public later today across Europe. This augmented reality social graffiti app will be free to download, but will only work on PS Vita’s with 3G as it requires GPS to work correctly.
PlayStation Mobile Developer Programe Officially Launches
Sony has officially opened the doors to the PlayStation Mobile Developer Programe, allowing third-party developers to start creating apps and games for PlayStation Certified devices, including the PS Vita. The program allows developers to create apps using the PlayStation Mobile SDK and distribute them via the PlayStation Mobile Store for an annual fee.
