Ragnarok Odyssey has sold over 100,000 units in Japan since it was launched back in February, according to publisher GungHo Online Entertainment. While the figure is small compared to other platforms and games, the figure shows steady progress on the platform, and will hopefully encourage other developers to develop games for the Vita.
What Does SCE’s Acquisition of Gaikai Mean for the PS Vita?
As you may have read this morning, Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) has announced that it will be acquiring cloud-streaming company Gaikai. The acquisition means that Sony will use Gaikai’s technology to bring streaming to the PS Vita in addition to their other devices.
Andrew House: Number of PS Vita Announcements “Are In the Pipeline”
On the games front, the PS Vita is lacking in original IP and AAA titles, but that may soon change. Speaking to CVG, PlayStation CEO Andrew House revealed that a number of announcements are in the pipeline. “We’ll show [the new projects] when the time is right,” he said in a new interview puiblished yesterday.

Rugby Challenge was released on the PS Vita on 27 June 2012 in Europe, UK, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. The first game ever published for the PlayStation Vita by Tru Blu Entertainment features console quality Rugby Challenge gameplay, graphics, game modes and authenticity. The game also has 25 trophies to unlock, including a platinum one.

Yet another retailer is offering the PS Vita at discounted prices. GameStop.co.uk is offering the Wi-fi Vita for only £190, while the 3G Vita is available for £230. Both prices are significantly cheaper than other online retailers, so if you don’t already have one but thinking of getting one, now is the time.
YouTube App on PS Vita Gets Zero-Day Patch
If you downloaded the YouTube App from the PS Vita Store, you may have noticed that a patch for the app is already available. The zero-day patch updates the app to version v1.01 and addressed some bugs in the app and improves stability.

PS Vita Sales Increase By Over 50%
The week ending June 16th 2012 has been incredible for PS Vita sales. Compared to the previous week, the PS Vita has sold 56% more units around the world. The PS Vita sold around 81,685 units according to VGChartz, compared to around 52,377 units the week before.

YouTube App Available on PS Vita Today
The YouTube App for the PS Vita was announced a while ago, but today is the day you finally get to download it. Sony has announced that the app will be available to download later today from the PlayStation Store for free. The app will let you watch, search and discover videos using Wi-fi or on the go using 3G.
