Sony has announced a new “Crystal White” PlayStation Vita for Japan. The new model is due on June 28th 2012, and will be followed by a Hatsune Miku version on August 30th. The price for the 3G and Wi-fi versions will be the same as the original black PlayStation Vita.
Call of Duty Coming to PlayStation Vita
We know that Call of Duty is coming to the PlayStation Vita, but details about the game have been scarce. Thankfully, Activision’s Social Media Manager, Dan Amrich, confirmed that the game is still coming to the platform although he admits that he doesn’t know “what version of the game” or “who’s developing” it yet.

Frobisher Says! Now Available to All
From today, Frobisher Says! on the PlayStation Vita is now available for download on the PlayStation Store. Previously, the game was only available as part of PS Vita consoles that included the Pre-Order Pack (via PSN voucher). The game also has some paid-for DLC content that adds new levels to the game.
Everybody’s Golf Patch v1.04 Out Next Week
Everybody’s Golf will get an update next Monday, bringing the game to version v1.04. The update brings a number of new features and modes to the PlayStation Vita launch title, including online multiplayer supporting up to 8 players and better player matching for the Real Tournament Mode.
Mortal Kombat Hits PS Vita May 4th 2012
Mortal Kombat hits the PlayStation Vita this Friday, featuring unique and innovative scenarios that took advantage of the numerous console features (such as the touchscreen and the accelerometer). The game also features 150 new Challenge Tower missions that incorporate the DLC characters (like Freddy Krueger!) but also a long-awaited opportunity to create challenges based around the characters.
Metal Gear Solid Collection Gets Release Window and Trailer
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for the PlayStation Vita will be arriving on the portable in late June, publisher Konami has announced. The Vita version comes with almost all the bells and whistles from its big brother console offering, as well as the ability to share data across PS3 and Vita versions.
PSOne Compatibility Coming to PlayStation Vita Soon
Technically, the PlayStation Vita should have been released with PSOne Classics compatibility, but Sony was making sure the PSP back catalogue and more of the Minis library were fully functional. In any case, Sony did promise the features, and it looks like the functionality isn’t too far off.
