Warner Bros has confirmed that Mortal Kombat will be releasing on the PlayStation Vita on May 4th 2012. According to Ed Boon, the Creative Director at NetherRealm, “The original game content and new features we developed for the PlayStation Vita will provide gamers with the best fighting game experience available on the new mobile platform.”
Treasures of Montezuma Blitz (ToMBlitz for short) is a free-to-play game on the PlayStation Vita that was released on March 21st 2012 on the PlayStation Store. ToMBlitz is a puzzle game that utilizes some of the hardware features of the Vita console, including the touch screen and rear touch pad.
Sony has removed Everybody’s Tennis as well as MotorStorm Arctic Edge from the PlayStation Store after it was discovered that homebrew applications could be loaded onto the PlayStation Vita using an exploit. The homebrew loader, known as VHBL (Vita Half Byte Loader), uses a SAVEDATA exploit with these two games to load other homebrew applications.
Have you seen the game NPEZ00383 using PlayStation Vita’s Near application? The un-named game is actually the Minis title Velocity. The PlayStation Vita doesn’t display the name correctly until you have downloaded and played the game yourself.
Even the PlayStation Store link under “Launch Application” doesn’t redirect you to the correct place in the Store.
