PlayStation Vita AR Cards Bundled Free At Launch
Sony has announced that the PlayStation Vita will come with a few extras when it launches in February 2012 in Europe and North America. The PlayStation Vita will come bundled with six AR Play Cards and a voucher code to download three AR games, all for free.
PlayStation Vita Games, Memory Cards and Accessories Officially Priced for Europe
Sony has confirmed the recommended retail prices (RRP) for PS Vita game cards, that’s boxed copies of games that you buy from physical retailers, as well as official prices for the memory cards and accessories for the portable console. The console will have a fantastic line-up for launch, available at a range of prices between €29.99 and €49.99.
Used PS Vita Games Need to be Reset Before Trophies Can be Unlocked
This bit of news is likely to cause disappointment to players who tend to purchase second-hand games. On the PlayStation Vita, trophies can only be unlocked for the first player that uses the game. If you purchase a second-hand game, all the game data on the card needs to be reset before the second player can earn trophies.
Sony Sells Over 300,000 PS Vitas In 2 Days
Sony has managed to sell a total of 321,407 PlayStation Vitas on December 17 (the day it was launched in Japan) and 18, according to Japanese video game magazine Famitsu [JP]. This pretty solid number means that big S has sold about 46% of its initial shipment of Vitas (which is rumored to be around 700,000 units) in 48 hours.
