Yesterday, Sony Japan reduced the price of the PS Vita in Japan, while also introducing a new colour. But it doesn’t look like the price cut will take affect in the West. Sony Europe told VideoGamer that the new PS Vita pricing “is for the SCE Japan region only” and it has “nothing to announce at this time regarding pricing within [Europe]”. The price in Japan was dropped to approximately £140.

EU PS Vita Store Update for February 13th 2013
The PlayStation Store update for Europe this week adds new games, including Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken and the Special Edition of When Vikings Attack. You can also find the first set of DLC for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, which includes two free additional characters for a limited time.
Uncharted and Gravity Rush on PlayStation Plus will be Replaced in the Summer
Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Gravity Rush were the first two full PS Vita titles to debut on PlayStation Plus for the PS Vita back in November 2012. SCEE has confirmed that the two games will remain in the Instant Game Collection until the summer, and will eventually be replaced with two new titles.
EU PlayStation Store Update for February 6th 2013
New PS Vita games are available on the European PlayStation Store this week, including Alien Breed and Bentley’s Hackpack. A playable demo of Ragnarok Odyssey can also be found on the store along with a new PSOne Classic and new DLC content.
Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken Coming to PS Vita Next Week
Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken for PlayStation Vita arrives on the PlayStation Store next week – February 12th in North America and February 13th 2013 in Europe. The PS Vita version of the game is a port of the PS3 version, but the developers have added PS Vita controls, a harder difficulty setting and other new features.
Wake-up Club Coming to Europe Next Week
Waking up in the morning will become social next week in Europe as PS Vita app Wake-up Club is released to the PlayStation Store. The free app, already available in Japan and released in the US last week, will be available to download from the Store next Wednesday and adds an alarm clock to the Vita, complete with trophy support.

New PS Vita games are available on the European PlayStation Store including fishing sim Let’s Fish! Hooked On. The Sound Shapes demo is also available, along with a new Minis bundle. No new DLC or PlayStation Plus content to enjoy this week, unfortunately, but February’s line-up is looking good.

Lots of new games have been added to the PlayStation Store this week, including two new PS Vita games added to the Instant Game Collection for PlayStation Plus subscribers. New titles include EscapeVektor and cross-play title Knytt Underground. Mortal Kombat and Knytt Underground are both free to Plus subscribers.
