If you don’t own a PS Vita and a PS3, Sony many have the ideal package for you this Christmas. PlayStation UK’s managing director, Fergal Gara, said that the company are looking at the possibility of bundling the two devices together with cross-play games and a PlayStation Plus subscription.

PS Vita Sells 2.2 Million Units Worldwide
Sony PlayStation Germany chief Uwe Bassendowski has revealed that the PS Vita has sold 2.2 million units worldwide since the console was launched. Bassendowski also revealed that the company’s marking efforts have failed to captivate younger gamers, but will address this problem going forward.
Persona 4 Helps Sell More PS Vita Units in Japan
The release of Persona 4 in Japan last week have helped boost the PS Vita’s sales. Media Create figures for the 11-17th June 2012 show nearly 140,000 copies of game have shifted, along with nearly 35,000 Vitas, up considerably from the 13,000 last week.
PS Vita Sales Continue to Grow Slowly
PS Vita sales worldwide are starting to grow slowly according to VGChartz. In week ending June 9th 2012, the PS Vita sold just over 50,000 units world wide – not a lot compared to the 3DS’ 135,000+ units – but a growth compared to the previous week’s 45,000 units. Week on week, the PS Vita’s sales increased by 10%, and exceeded the PSP’s sales, which is still going strong.
Sony Announces New “Ice White” PSP
With only a week to go until E3 2012, Sony has announced a new PSP model. The PSP-E1000 will be available in the new “Ice White” body colour and will be released in July priced at just £89.99/€99.99 (RRP). Not something we expected, to say the least.
PS Vita Sales Less Than a Third of PSP’s
According to Chart-Track data, the PS Vita in the UK is tracking at just under a third of what the PSP achieved after the first ten weeks. The PS Vita has sold just 100,000 units according to the website, although the numbers have not been confirmed by Sony.
Worldwide PlayStation Vita Sales Figures Released
Sony has revealed worldwide sales figures for the PlayStation Vita up to end of March 2012. Sony claims it has shifted 1.8 million units in the US, Europe, and Asia. At last count, Sony had sold 1.2 million units in February 2012, which means around 600,000 units were sold in March alone.
