A new patch for Killzone: Mercenary is now available to download, updating the game to v1.11. The update is free to download across all regions, and brings full support for the PlayStation TV. The update means the game can now be played on a large TV using a DualShock 3/4 controller and the PlayStation TV.

Guerrilla Games Outlines Updates and Maps for Killzone: Mercenary
Guerrilla Cambridge, developer of Killzone Mercenary, has just released information about the updates the PS Vita game will receive over the next few months, including patches and multiplayer maps. Four updates have been planned so far, and it’s good to know that the first new update will reduce the size of the previous two patches by 800 MB – both patches were very large to begin with.

Killzone: Mercenary has received a massive day one patch, updating the game to version v1.01, but only mentioning “stability fixes and performance optimisations”. The patch is 1190 MB in size, increasing the game’s size on the memory card from 3.3 GB to over 4.5 GB, and taking up valuable space.
Killzone Mercenary Beta Coming to PlayStation Plus This Week
Sony has revealed that the Killzone Mercenary multiplayer beta will be releasing to PlayStation Plus subscribers this week, with European gamers getting access to the beta from August 21st 2013. The beta will be exclusive to Plus subscribers for one week, before it opens up to the public on August 28th.

Sign-Up for the Killzone: Mercenary Closed Beta
Sony has opened up registration for the closed multiplayer beta for Killzone: Mercenary on the PS Vita. Candidates have until 10:00pm BST on 17th July to sign up for gamers’ first look at Mercenary’s impressive multiplayer package, and can do so here. If you are selected for the beta, you’ll get an email giving you further instructions on how to access the game.
