Lots of new content is available on the PS Vita Store in North America this week, including three new games. Alien Breed (cross-buy compatible) is available to purchase, and the free Ecolibrium app is also available this week. The first DLC for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (cross-buy compatible) has been released too.

Rumor Alert: Updated PS Vita with 4G in Development
A new patent filed by Sony and published by the US Patent and Trademark Office last week shows what could be a new model of the PlayStation Vita – or at least a hardware update. The new patent shows new port placement on the bottom of the Vita, and includes what looks like a HDMI port and separate AC adapter port.
EU PlayStation Store Update for February 6th 2013
New PS Vita games are available on the European PlayStation Store this week, including Alien Breed and Bentley’s Hackpack. A playable demo of Ragnarok Odyssey can also be found on the store along with a new PSOne Classic and new DLC content.
LiveTweet Updated to Version v2.00
The Twitter App on the PS Vita, LiveTweet, has received a patch, updating it to version v2.00. The minor patch adds button control to the application, allowing you to operate the app using the hardware button in addition to the existing touch screen. Besides that, the patch improves software stability.
US PS Vita Store Update for February 5th 2013
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is available on the PS Vita Store this week as the title launches in North America – purchasing the PS3 version will give you the PS Vita version free. PlayStation Home Arcade is also available, along with a new free PS Mobile game and various DLC content.

New PS Vita games are available on the European PlayStation Store including fishing sim Let’s Fish! Hooked On. The Sound Shapes demo is also available, along with a new Minis bundle. No new DLC or PlayStation Plus content to enjoy this week, unfortunately, but February’s line-up is looking good.
US PlayStation Store Update for Jan 29th 2013
New games and DLC content is available on the US PlayStation Store this week, including new fishing sim Let’s Fish! Hooked On and a demo of upcoming title Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. New PlayStation Plus content is available too, which sees Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus added to the Instant Game Collection.
PlayStation Vita System Software Ver. 2.05
Sony has released a new firmware update for the PS Vita, updating the system software to version v2.05. The minor update is mandatory and improves system stability during the use of some features, though Sony hasn’t specified what those features are. The firmware update blocks the recent exploit related to UNO on the PSP.
Sony Giving Demos Away with New PS Vitas in Japan
The original PlayStation benefited from a demo disc included with the console on initial purchase, so it’s good to see Sony following the same initiative with new PS Vita purchases, at least in Japan. Sony is including a PS Vita card containing various demos with new PS Vita’s, giving consumers a look into other games on the PS Vita, including upcoming action RPG Soul Sacrifice.
