A few months away is the PS Vita’s first anniversary in Japan, but Sony is still having difficulty convincing third-party developers to adopt the system. The PS Vita had a strong launch line-up, but suffered dry periods since, with new titles few and far between.
Only a new Minis title has been added to the PlayStation Store this week, unlike North America, who now have access to PS Vita title Sound Shapes.
Sound Shapes is now available to download from the PlayStation Store this week in North America. You can also find a new Minis title to enjoy too. There is no new DLC or other content for the PS Vita this week, however.
Remote Play is supported by a number of games on the PS3, so if you are getting bored of the games you have on your PS Vita, try out some of these. In addition to games, some of the PS3’s Apps also support Remote Play too.
Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee HD and Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD will both be available on PlayStation Vita “very soon”, Oddworld Inhabitants has announced. On their Facebook page, Oddworld Inhabitants suggested development will be coming to a close soon.
Every PS Vita owner knows that the PS Vita is lacking ‘killer’ games, and it seems that SCE UK chief Fergal Gara is also aware of the issue. Speaking to MCV, Gara said the PS Vita’s best months are still to come.

Sony has released their Q1 2012 earnings report this morning revealing PS Vita and PSP sales for the period April 1st, 2012 to June 30th, 2012. According to the report, Sony has sold a combined total of 1.4 million handhelds, but did not disclose the actual number of PS Vita units sold.
A new PSP game and PS Vita add-ons are available on the US PlayStation Store this week. Strategy role-playing game Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time is now available on the PSP, along with DLC content for Escape Plan, DC Universe and Bellator MMA Onslaught.
