If you are looking for some bargain buys for your PlayStation Vita, the PlayStation Store is having a three week sale on a number of titles. Starting on June 13th until July 4th, Sony are running a sale for content compatible with PS Vita. Each week the content will be rotated, starting with digital only titles followed by adding in retail releases and finally on the third week, retail and PSP/mini titles compatible with Vita.

A new minor firmware is now available for the PlayStation Vita, bringing the system software version to v1.69. The update is completely optional to install, but maybe required by some PS Vita games. An official changelog for the update wasn’t released, but we suspect it just improves compatibility with new PS Vita titles.
Another day and another PS Vita price drop. This time, its online retailer Zavvi offering the PS Vita for only for £169.95, a saving of £60 on the normal retail price. If you don’t have a PS Vita already, this a perfect time to pick one up. This is yet more evidence that a permanent price cut may be eminent.
The PS Vita is on offer at Best Buy in North America starting June 10th until June 16th. If you purchase a PS Vita for $249.99, you will get a $50 gift card you can use to buy accessories or games for your new console. This is yet another suggestion that the PS Vita is about to get a price cut worldwide.
Sony doesn’t really have much to worry about when the Wii U hits the market. The Wii U, which is an updated Wii console (new hardware specs and design) and a tablet style controller dubbed the Wii U GamePad, works similarly to the cross-platform features of the PS3 and PS Vita. But, will it mean Sony finally enables remote play across all PS3 titles? And, will the Wii U succeed?
Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation, scheduled for release in late October, is now available to pre-order from the PlayStation Store as a digital download. You can only pre-order the game via the PlayStation Store on the PS3, however.
Japanese developer Grasshopper Manufacture have announced that five games will be available to download for free by PlayStation Plus subscribers. The games, which were developed my Students in Japan, will be available to download on June 21st 2012.
Amazon has introduced a cash back promotion for the PlayStation Vita in Japan this week. The promotion, which runs until July 31st lets gamers purchase a 3G PS Vita, a game, and a 4GB memory card to get a discount of around ¥5,000 (approximately £41, $63).
