North America’s PlayStation Store has been updated with more PSOne classics for the PS Vita. The original list of 9 officially supported titles has been updated with the addition of 26 new titles. The newly buyable games include classics like Arc the Lad II, Medal of Honor, SimCity 2000, Tekken, and many others.

Sony Fails to Mention Big Flaw in PS Vita’s PSOne Compatibility
The PS Vita’s latest firmware update adds PSOne compatibility to the console, but there is one big flaw that Sony has failed to mention. Despite Sony releasing over 100 compatible titles in Europe, not all of the titles can be directly downloaded to the console.

PS Vita Firmware v1.80 is out now and brings with it PSOne classics on the console as well as a number of new features. The PlayStation.Blog has released a walkthough video of the new update as well as a complete list of PSOne titles you can expect for download from August 29th.
Over 100 PSOne Classics will be Compatible with PS Vita on August 28th
In a Press Release, Sony has confirmed that over a 100 PSOne Classics will be compatible on the PS Vita when Firmware v1.80 launches at the end of August. Jim Ryan revealed that from August 28th, over 100 PS One classics including Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, and Resident Evil 2 will be available to download for PS Vita.

Sony has revealed that PS Vita Firmware v1.80 will be coming at the end of August, bringing with it PSOne Classics compatibility to the portable console. While Sony has only announced a handful of compatible titles, the company have committed to releasing over a hundred titles.
