Sales of the PlayStation Vita have doubled yet again in the week from June 25th – July 1st, following the release of the White PS Vita and the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. Sales increased by approximately 87% from 12,100 units to 22,638.

Ragnarok Odyssey Sells Over 100,000 Units in Japan
Ragnarok Odyssey has sold over 100,000 units in Japan since it was launched back in February, according to publisher GungHo Online Entertainment. While the figure is small compared to other platforms and games, the figure shows steady progress on the platform, and will hopefully encourage other developers to develop games for the Vita.
PS Vita Sales Increase By Over 50%
The week ending June 16th 2012 has been incredible for PS Vita sales. Compared to the previous week, the PS Vita has sold 56% more units around the world. The PS Vita sold around 81,685 units according to VGChartz, compared to around 52,377 units the week before.
Persona 4 Helps Sell More PS Vita Units in Japan
The release of Persona 4 in Japan last week have helped boost the PS Vita’s sales. Media Create figures for the 11-17th June 2012 show nearly 140,000 copies of game have shifted, along with nearly 35,000 Vitas, up considerably from the 13,000 last week.
PS Vita Sales Continue to Grow Slowly
PS Vita sales worldwide are starting to grow slowly according to VGChartz. In week ending June 9th 2012, the PS Vita sold just over 50,000 units world wide – not a lot compared to the 3DS’ 135,000+ units – but a growth compared to the previous week’s 45,000 units. Week on week, the PS Vita’s sales increased by 10%, and exceeded the PSP’s sales, which is still going strong.
PS Vita Sales in Japan Double
A few popular games in Japan have the boosted the PS Vita’s sales in Japan. The Metal Gear Solid Collection and Kidou Senshi Gundam Seed: Battle Destiny have both helped the console sell almost twice the units compared to last week. Lets hope Vita sales continue to climb as new titles are released.
E3 2012: Sony Aiming to Sell 10 Million PS Vita’s in 2012
SCE President Andrew House told Reuters in an interview that Sony is aiming to sell ten million PlayStation Vita systems before the end of the current fiscal year. Sony is hoping to achieve the sales target by releasing major software titles during the holiday season.
PS Vita Sales Less Than a Third of PSP’s
According to Chart-Track data, the PS Vita in the UK is tracking at just under a third of what the PSP achieved after the first ten weeks. The PS Vita has sold just 100,000 units according to the website, although the numbers have not been confirmed by Sony.
Worldwide PlayStation Vita Sales Figures Released
Sony has revealed worldwide sales figures for the PlayStation Vita up to end of March 2012. Sony claims it has shifted 1.8 million units in the US, Europe, and Asia. At last count, Sony had sold 1.2 million units in February 2012, which means around 600,000 units were sold in March alone.
Unverified: Only 45k PS Vita Units Sold in UK at Launch
Its looks like the launch of the PlayStation Vita wasn’t as successful as we were led to believe. Despite Sony selling 1.2 million units worldwide as of February 26th 2012, PocketGamer.biz reports that approximately 45,000 units were sold in the UK. Although, a confirmed source hasn’t been referenced by the site so we cannot confirm if this is in fact true.
