The Skype application on the PS Vita has been updated to version v1.60, adding a key feature to the app. The 11 MB update enabled the software to accept calls whilst you’re in the middle of a game, allowing you to talk with friends while playing any game. You can also talk with friends while moving between apps or using the Vita’s system software.

Skype App Updated to v1.50
The Skype app on the PS Vita has been updated to version v1.50, adding a number of new features to the application. The changes include being able to create a new Skype account directly from the device, as well as adding and organising contacts. The update is 11MB in size to download and is available for free.
Skype Now Available on PS Vita
Skype is happy to announce that the Skype Video and Voice calling app for PlayStation Vita (PS Vita) is now available to download for free from the “Media & Apps” category of the PlayStation Store. The Skype app includes free Skype-to-Skype voice calling, as well as high quality video calling that utilizes PS Vita’s front and rear cameras.
PS Vita To Support Skype
A presentation given by Sony in Sao Paulo, Brazil seems to indicate that the PlayStation Vita will support Skype. And its a good think since even the original PSP supports Skype – it would be a shame for the PS Vita to drop this functionality. The image below shows the Skype logo on the top right of the screen.
